Upon arrival at A Brilliant Find, there is an immediate sense of calm. This is not a hotel, but a beautifully considered private Highland home in the Scottish Highlands - welcoming, understated and quietly luxurious

There are five individually styled bedrooms, each centred around a deeply comfortable super king bed (or twin) with down duvets, quality linens and mohair rugs. Three downstairs bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one with a bath tub, while the remaining two upstairs bedrooms have private bathrooms just next door, reserved exclusively for their use

Large picture windows frame the surrounding landscape perfectly and a solid oak staircase leads upstairs to the heart of the home which is a light-filled open-plan living space with a vaulted ceiling. A stunning oak dining table takes centre stage, seating up to twelve - perfect for long relaxed breakfasts, dinners and shared moments

Comfortable linen seating, soft textures, and a natural colour palette create a space that feels both relaxing and quietly refined. It is a place designed to slow the pace - never stark, never overstated, simply balanced and considered

Attention has been given to the details that we believe shape a stay. Good quality china, proper cutlery, tactile linens and a table that is always thoughtfully laid. It is a style of hospitality that is simple, considered and personal. The house has been recently updated throughout, bringing together its original character with modern comfort. Fast, reliable wi-fi and integrated Sonos sound are in in place across the house to add to a seamless stay

A Brilliant Find is intentionally different. There are no televisions in the bedrooms and no in-room tea or coffee facilities. Instead, guests are invited to move through the house as they would their own, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere with a chance to sit, reflect and quietly unwind

We welcome you with tea and homemade cake if you arrive in time! We then leave you to relax and disappear to our own house, returning to lay the table for dinner if a reservation has been made. We offer you a gin and tonic or whatever you desire before dinner and ask you to peruse the wine list. This is followed by hosting your dinner and clearing up afterwards, leaving you to enjoy the company of each other, or climb into bed

For those staying on a bed and breakfast basis, breakfast is freshly prepared in the upstairs chef’s kitchen and served by your hosts each morning

Outside a walled garden, open lawn and views across the loch offer space to breathe and unwind

Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds at their own pace. We live next door and are on hand if needed, while always respecting your privacy. You may also meet our small friendly dog, a gentle part of daily life here
